The Zebra classroom is a preschool program supported by the Iowa Department of Education and Iowa Department of Human Services. Currently it serves 20 children year round.

This classroom focuses on kindergarten readiness through writing, literacy and developing science and math skills. Each child completes a year long portfolio of their skills that they will be able to show their parents at the end of the year.

Teachers:
Lariza Rethmeier and Olivia Espinoza. Both are bilingual and bicultural teachers who have been with HER for over 5 years.
